Beach Vacation in Saint Augustine with Bayfront Marin House

Ross and I just got back from an amazing beach vacation in Saint Augustine. It was so relaxing and just what we needed! We stayed at The Bayfront Marin House, and was it ever beautiful! The yellow house was charming, historic, and beyond gorgeous. Walking up, we saw colorful flowers in every direction, a view of the water, and smiling faces! So, from the moment we walked in, I was glad to call Bayfront Marin my temporary home.

Bayfront Marin has both a house in the center of Saint Augustine and has a few cottages right by the beach. Ross and I chose to stay in a cottage that overlooked the ocean –I mean, obviously! When Ross and I first walked into our cottage, we immediately were hit with ocean air and beautiful blue decor. With those two things being in the forefront of our minds, we knew it was time to put on our swimsuits and head to the beach! After spending a few hours relaxing and playing in the water, we decided to go back to the yellow house and attend happy hour! We enjoyed a few beverages on the porch and then headed out on the town!

Saint Augustine has something for every body. There were shops, restaurants, entertainment attractions, and historical landmarks all within a few miles of each other. We started the evening off by checking out a few of the shops. I had my eye on everything, but Ross made sure I knew we weren’t there to actually buy. 🙂 After some pretty intense walking (my sandals had been through enough), we started getting hungry and decided to eat at a cute little Italian restaurant in town. After we stuffed ourselves silly on breadsticks, pasta, and pizza, we ultimately decided we had to go to bed, even if it was before 10:00. The 15 hour travel time and ocean had taken all our energy for the day. When we got home, we immediately jumped in the comfy bed and hit they hay, we still had so much to explore the next day.

That next morning, we woke up and headed to breakfast. At Bayfront Marin, you provide them with your breakfast choice the night before, and they have it all ready for you when you arrive. Ross and I enjoyed our blueberry waffles outside, while we watched the boats head out for the day. We sat and stared at the view for what seemed like hours, before we started to pack up our things. And just like that, it was time to go, just as quickly as the trip began. As we walked out and said our goodbyes to Bayfront Marin House, we knew that this would be a memory we would always take with us. Bayfront Marin made it easy to have a relaxing time and if we ever get the opportunity to go back, we know where we’ll be staying!

It was so nice to take a break from our day to day lives and reconnect, even just for a couple days. Ross and I will forever cherish the memories we made in Saint Augustine. If you ever get the chance to go, don’t pass it up.

Full disclosure:  Bayfront Marin House was kind enough to give Ross and I this experience on the “house”.  🙂 We did not pay for the cottage stay.  However, all opinions and thoughts are my own and always will be. <3
