Hopefully you read my first blog post in the series titled, First Dates. I talked about how I met my husband and the pure dread we all feel when dating…until I met him, of course.
Once my husband and I started dating, I kept asking myself, “Is he the one?” I’ve always heard people say the classic phrase of, “You just know.” For the first six months or so I was pretty weary, wondering when and how that feeling comes. I will say, I wasn’t the easiest girlfriend to get to know. I don’t always open up easily to people and Ross had to really break through those barriers first before we could date a little more seriously.
Looking back, I always knew he was the one, I just wouldn’t recognize it myself. We all come from different experiences and with my past, that was how I dealt with things in order to not get hurt. Fortunately, Ross was just as in love with me as I was him, and was just the right man for me to open my heart to.
I’ll never forget the moment I knew that I knew he was the one. We were sitting in a Starbucks in the middle of February and I looked at him as if time stood still. There, I not only saw my present, but also my future. It was in that moment that I knew this man was a man I wanted the rest of my life. His smile in that second seemed to last forever. In his eyes I saw how much he loved me and it felt as if my heart told me right then and there, “He’s the one”.
We were married last June and it’s been wonderful ever since. We get to spend our first Christmas together as a married couple and get to start our own traditions this year. A tradition we took into consideration was opening an early Christmas gift. Well, a week ago, my husband got a little early gift from JORD Watches! I don’t know if the whole early Christmas present idea will become a tradition, but we’ll see. 🙂
The watch Ross chose is linked here. He chose the Kosso and Midnight Blue Watch, which is part of the Conway Series. It is so stunning on him. Ross’ watch is made from kosso wood and sapphire crystal glass. It is so sleek looking and he has been wearing it non-stop. We actually had to take it to a jewelers to get a few links taken out. When we stopped by, the whole staff was floored at the quality of the watch. I even think the woman that took out Ross’ links is buying one for her husband. 🙂
Not only do they have men’s watches, but they have women’s too! They are all high quality pieces, with great packaging, one year warranty, and a wonderful staff that helps you with all your questions. There is different wood and glass styles to fit every man and woman. A perfect gift for Christmas!
