Girls Night In – Spa Night With Best Friends, Mexican Food, and Girl Talk

I’ll tell ya what I want, what I really, really want! GIRLS NIGHT!

If you follow me on social media (@katesnumberones), you watched my snapchats and insta-stories, and saw that I hosted a *girls night in* on Cinco De Mayo!  I invited a few of my best girlfriends over and we had a night full of laughs, girl talk, facials, and queso.  Could it get any better? I think not.  Before I get started, I told Ross (my husband) that I would give him a shout out for going to both Taco Bell and a local Mexican restaurant for all of our food needs. He’s the real MVP.

Formula 10.0.6 reached out to me and offered to send over their new berry based mask line for our facials and a gift card to get our Cinco De Mayo party started. I was all in!

Ever since my bachelorette party, I had been wanting to get my girlfriends together again.  At this point in life, it feels like I have a friend from every walk of life.  Not all of their paths meet too often and having them all together in one room is unbelievably special to me.

The day of the party,  I went out and got a bunch of decorations, bought the food, and had my friends bring over a couple games.  I rushed home afterwards and starting setting it all up.  It’s easy to get carried away with decor, so I kept it pretty simple, colorful, and festive.  Around 6:30 my friends started arriving it was time to party!

We started off the evening catching up and chatting girl talk.  Tacos and chips & queso were calling our names soon after, and we definitely ate it all like the champs we were.  nom nom nom.  I put out a bunch of desserts too.  Doughnuts, cookies, candy… you name it.  It was an unfortunate moment when my mom realized all of the Easter candy she bought me hadn’t been eaten yet. Hehe.  Sorry Mom!

After we ate, it was time to get our skin a-glowin’.  We tried different masks based upon our different skincare needs.  They had masks for hydration, acne, lines & wrinkles, and deep cleaning. I tried the balancing mud mask because it was time to revitalize my skin after the long work week.  The first thing I noticed when I put on the mask was the smell. It was so clean smelling and I enjoyed the spa like feel.  All of us felt a tingle, which I personally love. It makes me feel like the mask is working and doing its job.  After about twenty minutes,  I washed my mask off and my skin was pink, glowy, and freshly cleansed.  I absolutely loved the effect the mud mask gave me.  My pores were visibly smaller, I was glowing,  and my face felt squeaky clean!  It was so fun to fully relax with my friends and do some beauty rituals while we were at it.

We finished off the night by sitting in a circle and playing some interesting games.  My stomach hurt by the end of the night because we had laughed so hard.  It was so fun getting together with some of the people you love the most and simply enjoying each others company.  I’ll leave off here with a check list that every host needs for a girls night in party and a list of reasons why you need to have a girls night in!  Looking back, it was one of my favorite memories so far this year! I can’t wait to have more soon.  When is your next girls night in party?
