Summer equals sun, fun, and tans! Every summer I always am looking for a great skincare routine for my body. I need lotion, body wash, and cream that soothes sunburnt skin, helps to heal, and of course anti-ages! 🙂
Ever since I was young, my skin has always had problems staying healthy and hydrated. Like for real…when I was younger, my friends used to say that I had “snake skin”. I was always so embarrassed and often times wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing short sleeves or shorts.
As I’ve gotten older, my skin has actually gotten a lot better. However, in the summer time, I really do struggle with skin softness and hydration. I am all about that wet skin look, which is probably a little dramatic. But coming from my background, I’m sure you can understand. 🙂
When Aruba Aloe asked to collaborate with me, I was super excited. Of course, before I agreed, I checked out all of their products to see if their skincare would fit my skincare needs. I found out that Aruba Aloe is one of the oldest aloe companies in the world! Aruba Aloe grows and creates all of their products on site on the amazing island of Aruba! Being that Aruba Aloe has been around for quite awhile and has an amazing reputation for healthy and plant based skincare, I was all in!
They sent over a few fun products for me to try! I received their refreshing shower gel, special care lotion, ultra intensive aloe cream, and their island remedy intensive facial cream. I spent a good month trying the products before I began to form my final thoughts and I can’t wait to share them with you.
Overall, I absolutely loved their products! Who ever thought to mix lotion with aloe vera is a genius! Aloe Vera is known to moisturize & hydrate, accelerate healing, help with acne, anti age, and lighten blemishes. I mean…don’t we all want that? I definitely reaped those benefits and will get down to the nitty gritty, product by product below.
This amazing smelling shower gel was theeee best. I love gels personally, and always feel like they do a lot of hydrating. Mix that in with aloe extract and I was glowing after the shower.
The lotion is made of aloe vera, vitamin E, and jojoba oil. This lotion made my skin SO soft, even Ross commented about it. Honestly this was by far my *favorite* product they sent over. It literally did give that wet look and totally made my skin feel anti-aged and supple (I hate that word, but it fit). Ba ha ha.
The ultra intensive aloe cream was absolutely amazing. It was made with the same ingredients above, but with higher concentrations and coconut oil (my favorite). The cream totally went the extra mile in my eyes. I used this lotion on my elbows, dry spots, feet, and hands.
Island Remedy Intensive Facial Cream-
The facial cream is made of aloe vera, essential oils, vitamin E, calendula & horsetail extracts, and comfrey. It is said to help damaged skin heal, minimize fine lines, even out skin tone & texture, and help with acne. AMAZING, right? I usually use a bunch of different products to get all of these benefits, and was super impressed that this face cream had it all in one. I really enjoyed the cream and definitely will continue using it nightly as part of my skin care routine. My face feeling so soft , hydrated, and plumped is something I haven’t seen for a long time. I was super excited to get those results while using the cream.
